The URx Team caught up with William Chichester, Senior Manager, Global University Recruiting, at Microsoft! William answered questions all day in the Talent Community Slack, #ama channel.
Most recently, William was the Advanced Degree Campus Recruiting Lead for Capital One. After successfully piloting a graduate recruiting effort for Small Business & Retail Bank divisions in Spring 2019, William has launched and continues to scale MBA & Specialized Masters recruiting firmwide in this newly created role. In 2020, his team delivered Capital One’s inaugural MBA cohort of ~50 MBA Business Analysis Managers & Product Managers (full-time and intern) with a strong start in diversity representation with 53% Women, 25% Hispanic and 7% Black. Previously, he built out and managed a twenty person experienced hire recruiting team for the new Small Business & Walmart Partnership division, earning 100% people leader & team engagement scores. A proven, results-driven HR innovator, William elevated Capital One’s talent brand by building strategic relationships with over 12 national diversity professional associations and 40 colleges during his tenure. Through those relationships, he’s hired over 610 students and boosted the firm’s diversity results year over year for women & underrepresented minorities.
