This time last year, the competition for talent was heating up across industries – even for the most inexperienced hires. Many companies were facing reneges and salary bidding wars for entry-level candidates, requiring teams to figure out in real time how to keep candidates engaged and attract their attention. This year, the market uncertainties have presented a different set of challenges – but employers still need to navigate adjusting strategies and programs based on how their goals and budgets are changing internally. In this interactive session, RippleMatch will share their top best practices to continue to stay competitive in a changing market, and you’ll hear firsthand from Emily Sampson and Blake Jackson from Amplitude on how they are leading their team and evolving their strategy in the light of the market slowdown.

  • Navigating Life as an Emerging Talent Leader 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM

Leading UR & Emerging Talent teams is hard. UR is the one recruiting function that requires expertise across all facets of talent acquisition, developing a brand for your program, creating efficient processes and operations, educating the business, capacity management of your team, sourcing strategies, xfn partnership with HR, Legal & Marketing to name a few. Coupled with the fact that you are the only one on the senior recruiting team that focuses on this, this is a job that has its share of hardships and can be isolating within your company. People in our profession are drawn to the meaningful impact we can have on our companies and society at large. Oftentimes being the engine that drives DEI at our companies. That said, this impact comes with sacrifices — constantly shifting headcount, inadequate budgets & staffing, choosing between exciting vs. stable opportunities, and everything in between. This panel of leaders will discuss their unique experienced any how they have navigated their journeys. Come join us for a candid, open conversation about life as a UR Leader.

  • Lunch 12:30 PM - 1:15 PM
  • Products & Tools: Identifying the necessary from the luxury 1:15 PM - 2:00 PM

An in depth look at the marketplace of tools available for UR Leaders. On this panel we will explore the options across all aspects of a program and how to identify the needs vs wants of your program

  • Workshop: Rescind, Renege, Repurpose: Resetting Your Early Talent Program for 2023 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM

Join Symba for an interactive session during which we’ll break out into 3 groups and discuss some of the biggest challenges early talent leaders are facing in this economic climate and job market. We’ll brainstorm how to deal with rescinding offers, combat reneges, and repurpose teams in the event of layoffs and hiring freezes. 2023 is around the corner; let’s take a step back and reset!

    Featuring Community Partner: Symba
