What You Can Expect from Us
When you host a OneReq Connect Event, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Here’s how we help:
- Swag Box: Receive a box of fun goodies to share with your attendees. Contents may vary, but you can expect items like t-shirts, stickers, notebooks, pens, and buttons.
- RSVP System: We use Luma to manage event sign-ups. It provides a sleek landing page where you can share event details—date, time, location, agenda—and allow attendees to RSVP. Updates and reminders are automated, making event management a breeze.
- Promotion: We’ll promote your event via our social media channels, newsletter, and the Upcoming Events page on our website. However, local promotion is key to driving attendance, so be sure to leverage your own network to spread the word.
What We Need from You
As the host, you’ll be in charge of organizing the event. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Pick a Date and Time
Weekday evenings (e.g., Thursday at 6 PM) tend to work best, but choose a time that suits your community’s schedule. - Choose a Venue
You’ll need a venue for the event. Be sure to confirm the location ahead of time for smooth logistics. While bars can work, they may not always be ideal for the type of event we’re hosting. If you’re hosting at your workplace, you can also provide the venue. - Decide on a Format
OneReq Connect Events can be either in-person or virtual. Most events feature roundtable or panel discussions where attendees share insights on current trends in their field. In-person events are typically accompanied by light bites and drinks.
Feel free to choose the format that best suits your community, and be sure to clearly communicate the format to attendees when they sign up.
