The Manager, Early Careers, is a critical part of the Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) Team at SC Johnson. Reporting into the Head of Global Talent Acquisition, this position has four direct reports. The role serves in an operational and Center of Expertise (CoE) capacity. Based at our headquarters, the Manager is responsible for the delivery of early careers solutions and programs in the USA, as well as the development of consistency and capability in our other global locations and BUs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and implement a company-wide early career hiring strategy to attract a diverse pipeline of intern and early career talent that aligns to business goals.
Leadership and development of team of a talented Early Careers Recruiters and a Coordinator
Ownership of full-lifecycle recruitment for campus talent strategy across multiple functions (full-time and intern) in USA, including building the talent pipeline; screening, interviews and maintaining positive candidate relationships
Capability development for global hiring teams to execute / customize solutions based on CoE blueprints, designs and frameworks
Partnership with Director, D&I to align D&I Enterprise strategy with campus hiring programs, approach and solutions
Consistent improvement of global Early Career processes, drive best practice standardization, process optimization and capability development for global hiring teams to provide a seamless service to our internal customers
Leverage deep market and competitive data to develop innovative campus recruiting strategies and deliver diverse, highly qualified talent pipelines
Build business relationships to ensure inclusion, participation and engagement at campus event
Operate as the “Campus - subject matter expert” for SC Johnson. Advising HR and business leaders of trends, events, and best practices using data, benchmarking, and other factors to enhance the direction for the early careers space
Leverage existing branding and recruitment marketing tools to their full capacity (i.e., RippleMatch, Handshake, LinkedIn, Veris Insights, etc.)
Drive the department communications plan to streamline reporting and recognition to customers, stakeholders and business partners
Partner with the business to help forecast upcoming graduate and intern hiring needs and develop delivery strategies to execute expected hiring levels
Manage overall campus recruiting budget, including event expense tracking and annual updates
Evaluate the success of each recruiting season; prepare and analyze metrics on the overall campus season, return on investment, college success, conversion of intern to full time hire
Lead training and development for key internal partners participating in campus engagement initiatives, including crafting all needed collateral and standard operating procedures
Maintain compliance with EEO, OFCCP and any applicable federal, state, country guidelines through continuous monitoring of TA projects and processes
Responsible for working closely with Global TA leadership and TA/HR teams to drive adoption of new systems and process changes
Lead / participate in projects and strategic initiatives within the TA function
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
7 years’ experience in HR / TA (including 2+ years in early careers / campus hiring)
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Strategic, data-driven thinker with strong experience with analysis. Reporting and translating into story telling for department
Excellent people management experience with experience of performance management, coaching and developing others
Ability to influence and network effectively, establishes credibility quickly, build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and other stakeholders
Excellent project management skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Demonstrable track record of success partnering with campus diversity organizations
Background working among diversity and inclusion efforts within HR/externally
Ability to collaborate across different levels of the hierarchy, including senior levels (e.g. SVPs)
Ability to provide constructive and developmental feedback and coaching
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to operate independently but understand when to escalate issues
Experience interacting in a global organization
Proficient with MS Office and Workday
