As an I&D Business Partner, you will be a key member of Fastly’s I&D team. You will develop and drive strategies within Engineering to support the advancement of internal talent, run training programs and continue to build a more inclusive community.
This role is for an I&D practitioner with experience, aptitude for, skill in, and a passion for project management: partner engagement and Learning and Development. The role requires outstanding collaboration and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a high tolerance for ambiguity. The candidate will care deeply about impact through our programs in an intelligent, creative, patient, and courageous way. This role reports to the Director, Inclusion, and Diversity, and will be remote.
What You'll Do
Partner with engineering leadership to identity specific I&D opportunities, develop a roadmap and drive the integration of the work
Liaison between the Engineering team and the Global Inclusion and Diversity team
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly updates and progress reports to appropriate internal partners
Pilot and test new I&D programs with the Engineering organization with the intention to roll-out them to the broader company
Serve as the I&D Engineering liaison for grassroots / ERG / bottom-up I&D programming
Support I&D Director on advising leaders and people managers on embedding inclusive practices
Lead the Engineering Executive Advisory Committee in the execution of its strategy, roadmap & OKR achievement across global Engineering
Represent the Engineering organization on the I&D Council and serve as a thought partner to Executive Sponsors
What We're Looking For
Experience in a Recruiting/HR/I&D, L&D, and/or Program Management related role
Ability to work with multiple partners, identify underlying concerns, prioritize, and take action
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks with comprehensive follow through and attention to detail
Experience driving global organizational change through strategic global strategy and programming
Experience analyzing and interpreting data and translating analyses into recommendations
Understanding of how to influence geographically distributed teams, utilizing storytelling abilities and presentation skills
Strong social skills, including verbal and written communication skills; and a sense of humor!
5-7 year in Human Resources and/or Inclusion & Diversity related work preferred
Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity with a focus on intersectionality: cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, linguistic, professional, and other differences that make us unique.
