What You'll Do
We're looking for a Sr. PM to take Epic's early career program to the next level. As a PM focused on intern success, you'll be an adviser to both interns and the business, ensuring seamless participation and conversion outcomes year-to-year. Partnering with multiple lines of business, you'll ensure long-term engagement and retention strategies within the early career program, which lead to successful conversion outcomes, including intern goal tracking, performance management and the conversion process, and lead and mentor training and development. You'll also take a lead role in expanding our strategic talent pipeline through a new model of apprenticeships. The program you build will provide Epic experiences through a strong culture of inclusion, mentorship, and early career development to set high potentials up for long-term success. You will foster access innovation by creating realistic pathways for success within the early career program, embodying the mindset of when you succeed, we succeed.
In This Role You Will
Manage a small PM team devoted to evolving successful outcomes for the early career program
Oversee early career program processes to ensure quality candidate experience, long-term development and intern/new grad retention
Lead and develop program foundations for apprenticeship across strategic Epic teams
Continually adapt and improve processes that promote intern and lead engagement, ensuring folks stay on track
Build and maintain trust with key stakeholders within the business and the intern cohorts
Provide guidance to leads and mentors on setting SMART goals that directly tie into successful conversion pathways
Work with interns to track individual goals and outcomes, and act as partner to the leads/mentors to bridge skills gaps along the way
Manage situational escalations during the internship, knowing when to intervene or change course
Own performance management process for the early career program, which includes the intern to full-time conversion cycles
Ensure business alignment on junior core competencies during conversion, so that talent meets Epic’s bar for success
Facilitate key trainings for each cohort, including general program preparations and inclusive leadership practices
Help leads cultivate inclusive teams which enable Epic interns to succeed and thrive
What We're Looking For
Prior experience working as an HR partner or a PM within academic programs, L&D, or early career initiatives
Experience with apprenticeships, bridging secondary education to post-secondary opportunities preferred
Strong leadership capabilities, ideally experience leading a small team (1-2)
Excellent stakeholder management, experience supporting multiple client groups
A passion and comfort for cultivating early career talent and helping bridge skills gaps across multiple disciplines
Proven ability to drive process initiatives, proactively solve problems, and be a force multiplier for the team
Experience and desire for cultivating inclusive teams, being a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion
Strong situational judgement and a high degree of emotional intelligence
Strong written and verbal business communication skills
Comfort with ambiguity, and knowing what to do when there isn’t a clear path forward
Demonstrated experience facilitating presentations, ideally training content
