Program Manager, Early Talent Diversity Programs

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of WWF’s organization-wide Early Talent Diversity Programs.  Ensure we set objectives and deploy initiatives that result in the development of a robust diverse early career talent pipeline.  Provide oversight and management of all program components:
  • Lead the development, planning and execution of WWF’s university relations programs.  Surface institutional engagement opportunities and mobilize organizational resources to meet the institution’s need.  This would include opportunities such as providing curriculum development guidance, developing functional and professional development lecture series, facilitating board appointments for WWF leaders, and candidate sourcing.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a centralized intern program, including the strategic planning, data-gathering and analysis, communications, internal coordination, implementation, monitoring, and follow-up associated with program activities.  Educate intern managers on effective intern project creation, onboarding and development.
• Initiate, establish and maintain external stakeholder relationships with key decision-makers across target institutions.  Influence stakeholders to work toward the common goal of increasing the representation of populations historically underrepresented in conservation and marginalized in the broader society.
• Serve as thought leader and advisor to WWF leadership on early talent strategies, working collaboratively across the organization to influence and drive our efforts in the areas of early career and diverse talent attraction and engagement, external stakeholder engagement and empowerment, and employer of choice branding.
• Identifies new and builds on existing external strategic partnerships to broaden our reach and exposure; continuously evolve and improve the success and competitiveness of WWF early career and diverse talent programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or related field; advanced degree preferred.  Minimum of 8 years of experience in university relations, campus recruiting, diversity, equity and inclusion, or program management
• Experience designing and managing early career talent programs (such as intern, fellowships, and rotational programs)
• Experience working with academic communities and diversity-oriented student networks
• Exceptional planning, organization, and time management skills; ability to drive multiple and competing priorities to completion with limited guidance
• Excellent inclusive leadership, influencing and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong external partnerships and networks, as well as to influence internal stakeholders and facilitate cross-team collaboration and decision-making processes
• High tolerance for ambiguity; ability to create clarity for others
• Ability to think strategically and to incorporate input from a variety of stakeholders, collaborators and colleagues
• Self-driven; ability to take initiative and facilitate the work of others
• Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to travel as necessary, which may be up to 25% (factoring in travel advisories)
