We’re well funded by many of the top investors in our industry, and are building a real business fueled by real revenue - not just venture capital.

What we’re looking for
We’re on the hunt for our first Recruiter to help build and scale our team. Primer is currently a team of about a dozen people, most of whom work out of a light-filled office (complete with a 100 year old grand piano) in the Mission District in San Francisco. We believe in the power of in-person work, especially for small teams, but offer flexibility to work remotely as needed.
We’re looking for someone who will manage our full cycle recruitment from sourcing to closing and will ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process. You have high attention to detail and are excited to contribute to a team of builders who are looking to remake education. You like to roll up your sleeves and are not afraid to build out new systems and processes - thinking long term - to make our recruitment function scalable. You are a culture promoter, being the first point of contact for our candidates.
You have 2+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment at a high scaling startup environment.
You have the strong ability to identify and close high potential candidates, especially for technical roles.
You have a good grasp of coding stacks and languages and are comfortable using those when assessing or initially screening candidates.
You have demonstrated grit and consistency in closing hard to fill roles to meet the needs of a scaling company.
You are passionate about an excellent candidate experience at all times.
You have experience using various ATS’s, as well as adopting new tools and technologies to streamline processes.
You keep a positive attitude under stressful and shifting circumstances.
You are excited about team and culture building, and are intentional about DEI.
You have exceptional interpersonal skills and are a relationship builder.
About your role
You will oversee and manage our full cycle recruitment for multiple roles - from sourcing to closing.
You will be the main point of contact for candidates, representing Primer and answering questions along the way.
You will be responsible for creating a world-class hiring and candidate experience.
You will collaborate with hiring managers, acting as a talent acquisition partner to understand requirements for the role and establish effective recruiting strategies.
You will identify various sourcing channels, improving the overall time to hire between the application screen and offer stages.
You will continuously improve and initiate scalable and creative changes to our existing recruiting processes and strategies.
